Phase One Goals:
  1. Establish a training facility with access to course, curriculum and trainers in reproductive health and family education;
  2. Develop a free clinic for adolescent health care and increase usage of existing MUSC clinic;
  3. Develop a mentoring base and training for students, professionals and members of faith-based organizations; and
  4. Implement group risk-factor-reduction curriculums in school, after-school and summer programming efforts.

  1. Place a Youth Specialist in each school (30-student caseloads);
  2. Increase communication/collaboration among existing providers;
  3. Increase the number of tutors/mentors in each school;
  4. Increase family connectedness and community involvement;
  5. Increase access to health care and prevention services;
  6. Increase knowledge of adolescents, parents and other adults about key health and behavioral issues;
  7. "Blanket" students with programs and courses proven effective in preventing teen pregnancy and school drop-outs;
  8. Increase career investigation activities; and
  9. Increase Americorps involvement.
